The Thorns Tarot

These two decks are based on the Rider-Waite deck structure. There are 78 cards in each tarot deck; these are still under construction. More information will be coming soon.

The Cursed Thorn of the Briar Patch is a darker-themed deck that is focusing on Acanthus' POV — some of the more pessimistic ideas and scenes in the trilogy will show up in this deck. There will also be a lot of Acanthus' past shown in these cards, where the situations make sense to share.

The Healed Thorn of the Blood Moon is a lighter-themed deck that focuses on Cypress' POV — some of the more optimistic ideas and the idealistic vision will show up in this deck. There will also be a lot of the Pack shown in this deck, and situations that hold more levity.

The decks are foils of each other and as such, will be offered as a pair.

The artwork is still in development, but will pop up on the page as it's drawn.

The card backs

On the left, we have the Cursed Thorn design. Acanthus is very organic in their approach and thinking both, and has a motif of vines, thorns, roses, and plants. Their mind is about as tangled as the vines on the back of this card, and their mind usually chokes out the sane, rational thoughts beneath the overgrowth.

On the right, we have the Healed Thorn design. Cypress is all neat, organized thinking and structured control. He likes to know how things work, and he wants, more than anything, to be the positive force that the World of Shadows needs to change. If not at the helm of it, then at least at championing it. Cypress will do anything to make the world a better place.
